Art Weeks

28/4/2026

We have Art Weeks for the next two weekends in the Village, including the Bank Holiday Monday.

Thank you to all those people who have offered to help, bake cakes or made donations for food, it is all very much appreciated. The Pop up Cafe in the Reading Room is open from 11-5 so please come and support us by coming for coffee/lunch or afternoon tea.

All the money raised goes into the Community Fund and is spent within the Village.

The Reading Room will be open from 10am each morning for you to leave your cakes.

The Church is being decorated with beautiful flowers and the majority of the Artist Exhibitions will be here.

Lets hope the sun shines for us.
Best Wishes Pam

Play at Court House on 17th June

27/4/2026

Picture
The Three Inch Fools will return to Great Coxwell and the gardens at Court House on Wednesday 17th June. The company are regulars at Great Barn Festivals, stately homes and gardens across the land and after a successful stand alone show last year at Court House, the national tour of King Alfred and the Holy Fail promises to offer fans the fast paced humour, music and dubious historical recollection of past seasons. It is perfect for a family audience. Pack your picnic, we will have a bar in the Hayloft and the Great Barn and bring a chair or a rug for top class professional theatre on your doorstep.

Early bird tickets available until the end of April or until the first limited release run out. Tickets available through www.threeinchfools.com, Eventbright or call Ainslie at Danes Cottage to buy direct and miss the booking fees. Tel 07774459046 [email protected]

Profits from the event will benefit COGS youth mental health services for Faringdon and surrounding villages, all the more reason to saddle up - things are about to get legendary!

Update to website and newsletter

1/4/2026

Over the next month or so the website (www.greatcoxwell.com) and the associated newsletter will be updated to use the same website and news system that the parish council have moved to.

This is because the current website is becoming hard to maintain and the technology is quite out of date.

The migration to the new website is a work in progress but you can get an idea of what it looks like by clicking this link.

The new website will have specific News and Events sections and you will be able to sign up for alerts for news and events, this alert system will replace the newsletter.

I'll keep you up to date with progress, but in the mean time if you have any questions please email me (Gavin) at [email protected].

Regards,
Gavin
