Sunday April 9th Palm Sunday
10am blessing of palms procession with donkey. Starting at the cross roads in Great Coxwell. Followed by Family Communion in the church. Friday April 13th Good Friday 9.30 am Good Friday Liturgy, Great Coxwell Sunday April 16th Easter Sunday Eaton Hastings 9.00am Prayer Book Holy Communion St Mary Buscot 10.30am Family Communion Garden open on Sunday 9th April in aid of Prospect Hospice. It will be open between 2pm and 5pm and the entrance price is £3. There is wheelchair access.
If we have enough help and enthusiasm we hope to have a traditional village fete around the Great Barn on the afternoon of Sunday 16th July starting at 2pm.
If you have any ideas of stalls you would like to see or run please get in touch. If you have any brainwaves about games you would like to play or organise also get in touch. Stalls we have thought of so far: Lucky Dip, Tombola, Bottle Stall, Count the Candy, Produce Stall, Cake Stall Games on the Cards, Splat the Rat, Skittles, Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley, Lucky Egg, Hook the Swimming Duck, Tug of War and lots of Children’s games, etc. Teas, Pims, Ice Lollies. As you can imagine, we need as many helpers as possible on stalls, on games, setting up and setting down. If you can help, please get in contact or talk to Pauline and Mike, Jacqui, Annabelle, Pat or Laurie. It should be great fun! And we hope to raise money for the Church, Park and Reading Room. And last thing : please put this date in your diaries. Every Wednesday at the Pump House Faringdon 10am-11am. Contact 01367 242 191. Advice Free.

April 23 - next Stonevale concert May 6/7 & 13/14 - Artweeks in Oxfordshire and in the village July 16 Sunday - Village fete - more information to follow. A local dog has a confirmed case of Alabama Foot Rot which is being treated by Robert Elliot at Stanford in the Vale. The dog is only walked locally in 3 places - Ridgeway, under the wind turbines and at Badbury Clump. Please look out for lesions and sores. It is not known how it is transmitted.

The bottom shelf has been filled with beautiful children’s books. It’s at a perfect height for a child to brouse through.
