We would like to invite you to come to our meetings. We are a small friendly group and meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm in the Reading Room. We have different speakers every month as well as time for a drink, raffle and chat.

As Helene's sarcastic and witty letters are responded to by the stodgy and proper Frank Doel of 84, Charing Cross Road, a relationship blossoms into a warm and charming long-distance friendship lasting many years. He will be looking at paintings by Lord Berners which were recently discovered at Faringdon House. Refreshments will be provided after the talk, which is open to all members. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order, as a result of residential development of land adjacent to the road and for road safety reasons, is to extend the current 30mph speed limit on Coxwell Road southwards by approximately 185 metres reducing the existing National speed limit (60mph) by the same amount. The Oxfordshire County Council (Faringdon) (30 Miles Per Hour) (Speed Limit) Order 2014, will be revoked/replaced. January 29th at 10.30 - Candlemas. Service in Buscot May 6/7 & 13/14 - Artweeks in Oxfordshire and in the village I shall shortly be distributing the forms for the St Giles Church 100 Club. The annual subscription is £17, and there are monthly prize draws of £20 and £17. The more subscribers we can get, the more we shall raise for the Church. Thank you.
Biddy Rounce If you have flowing water through your land please will you make sure it is flowing free of obstructions, to help prevent any flooding on your land or anyone else's.
20 mph is PLENTY. Please keep your speed down through the village. It makes no difference to your arrival time but a huge difference to the safety and vibe of the village.
Many of you have waited for this concert, and I am pleased that Galina and Aleksei will be performing here at Stonevale on the 22nd of January, at 4 pm. This will be a combined voice and piano recital, and seats will go immediately so I would recommend that you reserve your seats very quickly.
For those of you who have not heard about these wonderful performers, just google their names, and you will see how privileged we are to get them here. Here is a list of future concerts: 22nd Jan: Galina Averina (voice) and Aleksei Demchenko (piano) 26th Feb: Julian Hellaby and Peter Noke (two piano recital) 19th March: Irena Radic (piano) and Jonatan Bougt (guitar) 23rd April: Anna Mullaney (violin) and Lynette Stulting (piano) 14th May: Chamber music recital, tbc. Action Fraud has received several reports from victims who have been sent convincing looking emails claiming to be from Amazon. The spoofed emails claim recipients have made an order online and mimic an automatic customer email notification.
The scam email claims recipients have ordered an expensive vintage chandelier. Other reported examples include: Bose stereos, iPhones and luxury watches. The emails cleverly state that if recipients haven’t authorised the transaction they can click on the help centre link to receive a full refund. The link leads to an authentic-looking website, which asks victims to confirm their name, address, and bank card information. Amazon says that suspicious e-mails will often contain:
