In yesterday's referendum a majority of parishioners voted in favour of the Great Coxwell Neighbourhood Plan, meaning that the District Council will use its contents in their planning considerations. In addition, those contemplating developments in the Parish now have an officially approved 'template' on which to base their designs.
The Parish Council is grateful for parishioners' advice and feedback, without which it would have been impossible to complete a project that we hope will benefit everyone living in Great Coxwell. Thank you to so many of you who voted in the referendum. Now let's make full use of the documents to meet our aspirations for our beautiful village and countryside around. Recently there seems to have been an increase in reports of dogs attacking horses, particularly while out riding. We would like horse riders to be aware of what to do if they are involved in such an incident while out riding and to highlight the relevant legislation which has been put in place to deal with such incidents. This is also relevant to dog owners who may walk their dogs in areas where they could encounter horses. The British Horse Society has an informative section on their website including all of the relevant information at http://www.bhs.org.uk/safety-and-accidents/common-incidents/dog-attacks Please feel free to share this with friends.
A Canon printer has been left in the Reading Room but it is not needed. If the owner wants to take it back please do so by the end of this week or it will be disposed of.

The owner of Faringdon Golf Course has put an application in for a 'change of use', wishing to change the golf course from a leisure facility to a tourist one. The application comprises 42 lodges as part of a coarse fishing facility. The Parish Council will discuss this application at the Parish Council meeting on Monday 9th March at 8pm in the Reading Room. Do come and see the plans and have your say.
