Thursday 11th May 2017.  The May talk will be given by Ian Keable at the Corn Exchange at 2.30pm.  His topic will be “George Cruikshank: the man who drew Oliver Twist.”  In this talk Ian shows how Cruikshank moved effortlessly from biting satirical prints to become the leading caricaturist and book illustrator of his generation.  The talk will be followed by refreshments.  All members are welcome but visitors must pay £1.50 for each visit.  Further details available from the chairman Peter Smith or on www.faringdondistrictu3a.wordpress.com <http://www.faringdondistrictu3a.wordpress.com/>.
