Related information can be found on this page. The Parish Council is canvassing villagers’ views on installing white gates at the entrances to the village on the Coxwell Road and potentially on the Holloway Road (in such a way that would not impede the use of the verge by pedestrians/gate access etc). Before any active steps are taken to engage with Highways or consider funding applications, the Parish Council wants to know if this is an initiative that would have the support of the village.
The aim would be to remind drivers they are entering a residential area and to slow speed, as well as delineate the entrance to Great Coxwell. No decision will be reached without a Parish Council meeting to discuss further. A link to a yes/no survey is below. The link will be open until Friday 3rd March and all submissions will be anonymous with no personal information gathered. You are requested to take the survey only once. https://forms.gle/8KLsCEefUti4H4Pp6 Joanna Farrant Clerk to Great Coxwell Parish Council Tel: 079 89 75 1950 The Season of Lent begins this Wednesday (22nd February). I am charging a fee of £25.00 per candidate for this course, that has been organised by a local community organisation.
The course content will be suitable for candidates to gain knowledge and practice the skills in dealing with an emergency incident, involving a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing, the casualty who is not breathing and requiring CPR (for adult/child/infant) and involving the use of the Defibrillator. The course will also cover treating bleeding and some common medical conditions. A certificate and first aid booklet will be provided for candidates who participate and complete the course.
