Due to a water leak the water has had to be turned off in the Reading Room and as a consequence the room is closed until the parish council have it sorted. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this and will do all we can to have it fixed fast.

This meeting is for villagers to bring up any questions or topics of their choosing with the Parish Council. The meeting starts with a short round up of the years Parish Council business but after that there is no agenda - we take our lead from you. Tea and Coffee served from 7pm. Meeting starts 7.30pm in the Reading Room. The Annual Parochial Church Meeting of St. Giles Church will be held this year on Tuesday March 26th at 7.30pm in the Reading Room. It is our opportunity each Spring to reflect on the past year and to look forward to the year ahead, and in particular to receive the annual reports and accounts, and to hear about developments in the church locally and more widely. We will also be electing (or re-electing) the church officers for the coming year. Everyone is welcome; and refreshments will be served from 7.15pm.

Legislation that will come into effect on 15 May 2019 could mean difficult choices for mixed-age couples deciding whether to live together or separately. From 15 May, both partners in a couple will need to have reached state pension age in order to claim Pension Credit or pension-age Housing Benefit.
